Maria de Lima is an award-winning actress with an international career that spans Stage, Screen and Television.
Recent credits include the Video Game War ThunderVera in the British premiere stage production of HappinessNivea del Valle, in the stage production of The House of the SpiritsMother / Death in the acclaimed new stage adaptation of Blood WeddingSoraya in the TV series Apocalypse for Record TV; Luana in the stage production of Diluvio by Gerald Thomas.  Other credits include Frida Kahlo in Frida and Diego directed by Simon Usher; Catherine of Aragon in I Am Henry, winner of 12 awards, including a prestigious REMI; She has also performed in prestigious theatres such as The Almeida (Blood Wedding), directed by Rufus Norris and opposite Gael Garcia BernalThe Nuffield (The Seduction of Anne Boleyn); The Orange Tree (Ay Federico).
She started her screen career opposite Mickey Rooney in the movie The Milky Way. 
Maria was awarded Best Stage Actress ‘A Capital’ Awards.
She was also nominated Best TV Actress ‘SE7E’ Awards, for both her roles in O Quadro Roubado, a Portuguese prime time TV series and in the Portuguese Golden Globe Winner TV Comedy, Grande Noite. She starred as the Prime Minister’s Secretary, in the hugely successful Portuguese version of yes Minister, nominated for a Golden Globe award.
Maria de Lima is based in London.
